  • June:  Superion engages in customer project focused on high-end networking applications for OpenCL

  • November:  Matt Weber and Jason Pecor present at Embedded Systems Conference Minneapolis
  • September: Introduction of Alorium Technology, Superion’s product development arm, and the first public preview of XLR8, an Arduino-compatible FPGA application accelerator and development board at Maker Faire Milwaukee 2015
  • May:  Initial work begins on internal FPGA-based product idea
  • April: Chad Spackman is named as Superion’s Chief Technology Officer

2014

  • October:  The “Eastward Expansion” begins, and Superion grows team in Pennsylvania and North Carolina
  • September:
    • The first customer FPGA projects are signed focused on high-speed chip-to-chip communication and a custom memory interface
    • Superion engages in customer-funded R&D project to investigate FPGA-based acceleration of Genomic Sequencing algorithms leveraging the OpenCL framework
  • August:  Jason Pecor, Superion’s VP of Business Development,  joins AUVSI Heartland Chapter
  • February:  First commercial software contract is awarded to Superion

  • December:  Superion outgrows our initial office suite and moves to Southtowne Drive
  • November:  Superion joins the Defense Alliance, an Advanced Defense Technologies Cluster
  • July:  Superion reaches the dozen mark for employees
  • April:
    • The first employees join Superion
    • We have our first customer teleconference from Mike Berry’s basement while sitting around a card table
    • Days after our basement conf call, Superion takes occupancy of the Miller Street office suite
  • March: Superion opens our virtual doors for business
